Summer Dreams

And now back to Mr. Carlo Savina again for some more Italian library goodness, this time with a catchy 1979 collection called Summer Dreams. This limited LP contains several tracks he wrote for films and TV shows during that decade, including the first release of his theme for Mario Bava's Lisa and the Devil (here entitled "Theme for You").

Thank you very much for this. Except, I downloaded this just to get track 13 ("Theme For You") and that very track is missing in the zip!

Hello
Your blog is named after the Lucio Fulci film Seven Notes in Black, am i right? :)
Could you put the soundtrack for that film on your blog, it´s really, really good.

This may seem like a stupid question but...

hat exactly is meant by the term "library music?" I know that George Romero often used so-called library music for his films...does it imply music in the public domain, or is it merely a term to describe random collections of music inserts?

Hi all,
Here's Track 13; the corrected full album will be posted shortly as well:

Yep, this blog is named for the Fulci film; the score CD was just released by Digitmovies, so I can't post it here; however, it is avaialble pretty cheap from www.dustygroove.com.

Library music refers to pieces of music written by a composer which are kept in a library and used for TV programs, movies, etc. to pull when they need something for a particular mood or location. Thus the TV company pays a fee to pull from that "library" of music for their programs. Hope that helps!
